Are you dreaming of Europe right now? We certainly are! The travel industry has entered the #ArrivalRevival phase and Scenic has announced it is restarting European River Cruising in Portugal, France and Germany.
Scenic has announced the return of European river cruises in 2021, with its truly all-inclusive luxury itineraries on the Rhine and Danube rivers, Portugal’s Douro and France’s Garonne, Gironde and Dordogne rivers in Bordeaux.
Departures begin on Portugal’s Douro from 30 July, followed by France’s Bordeaux on 29 August, the Rhine on 30 August and the Danube on 27 September 2021.

“Our teams in operations, sales and marketing have worked hard with our travel partners to bring about our European launch and we are seeing very positive responses from our guests, who have been looking forward to this news. We plan to continue adding more itineraries as Europe and many other countries like the USA, United Kingdom and Europe continue to re-open their borders to travel.”
There will be six Bordeaux cruise departures through October – the 11-day Beautiful Bordeaux and the eight-day Bordeaux Affair – that offer guests a wonderful immersion into all things French.
The eight-day Gems of the Danube will have four departures in September and October.
However, unfortunately for Australian and New Zealand residents, whilst there has been progress made with vaccination programs over recent months, based on the current forecasted international travel restrictions, Scenic says it has had to make the difficult decision to suspend additional Europe River Cruising departures through to 31 December 2021.
