Do you absolutely love to nerd out about aircraft and air travel? Have you always dreamed of being a pilot but never quite got there. Don’t despair! Your aviation dreams can come true at the Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu.

With a bit of hope, Aussies will be able to visit Japan sooner than you think and this means that your inner (or outer) aviation geek can step forward and treat yo’self to a night in the delightfully named ‘Superior Cockpit’ room at the Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu.

This unique room, inspired by nearby Haneda (Tokyo International) Airport, will have you practicing your flying skills, as you embark on simulation flights from your location to Osaka.

Errrm, yes please

If the thought of soaring through the skies in a Boeing 737-800 aircraft from the comfort of your own hotel room excites you, you’ll have to read the rule book before taking off.

The impressive 10 million yen (AU$133,000) in-room simulator will require you to book an instructor before you can turn it on at the wall and sit in it.

The 90-minute simulator experience, which is on top of the room cost, will set you back around 30,000 yen (AU$400). Once you have your session booked and your flying instructor, you and your co-pilot will be able to take to the skies, over Haneda Airport and gracefully soar through the clouds to Osaka’s Itami Airport.
