Set sail in 2024 to Northern Europe or the West Indies with Viking’s three brand-new ocean voyages plus extra departure dates on popular cruising itineraries to Hawaii, Panama, Iceland, the Mediterranean and more awe-inspiring destinations.
The new voyages include the epic 36-day Grand Fjords & Iconic Viking Shores cruise departing from Amsterdam to New York City in June and July 2024, which traverses Iceland, Greenland and the Canadian provinces of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
Two new West Indies and Europe combination itineraries have also been added: the 13-day West Indies & the Iberian Peninsula cruise between San Juan and Barcelona; and West Indies & the Mediterranean, a 25-day ocean journey between San Juan and Venice, both departing March 2024.
Viking recently reported that ocean cruising is in demand with travel advisors experiencing increased enquiries for cruise holidays.
Viking ANZ managing director Michelle Black said the new itineraries and additional departure dates will provide more options for travel agents and guests.
“People are still making up for lost time, so they are booking longer experiences and planning further ahead,” Ms Black said.
“Many guests are choosing to travel now, but are also locking in their future plans well ahead of time to secure their preferred travel dates and stateroom category.”
Popular Viking Pacific Ocean voyages with new departure dates include the 17-day Hawaiian Islands Sojourn, sailing in December 2023 and February 2024; 33-day Grand Hawaii & Polynesia, sailing in November 2023 and January 2024; and Panama Canal & the Pacific Coast, an 18-day cruise in January and March 2024.
The 22-day Mediterranean & Adriatic Sojourn between Athens and Barcelona will have departures from February to September in the 2024 cruise season.
The 29-day Greenland, Iceland, Norway & Beyond itinerary has departures from May to August 2024, while the 15-day Iconic Iceland, Greenland & Canada and eight-day Iceland’s Natural Beauty cruises will also have departures between June/July and August 2024.
