Previously the Savoy Baur en Ville hotel, the property was Zurich’s first grand hotel, founded by Johannes Baur in 1838. It is located on the famous Paradeplatz, close to luxury fashion houses, the historic old town, and the promenade that leads to Lake Zurich.

The hotel will be Mandarin Oriental’s second Swiss outpost, joining the Mandarin Oriental Geneva.

Switzerland remains a popular destination for luxury Australian travellers. As APAC Director of Switzerland Tourism, Simon Bosshart, shared with Karryon, Australian visitation to Switzerland was averaging around 400,000 room nights per year prior to the pandemic.
