Oceania Cruises has announced that its 1,250-guest refurbished vessel Riviera will sail her first season in Alaska in winter 2025.
Itineraries on board Oceania Cruises’ Riviera will range from seven to 12 days as Riviera ventures to the Alaskan ports of Ketchikan, Sitka, Kodiak, and the Hubbard Glacier.

Experiences ashore
More than 300 excursion choices will take in Alaska’s local culture and natural beauty.
Oceania has introduced a series of Culinary Discovery Tours™ designed for Riviera’s 2025 season, that will highlight Alaska’s unique food scene. Chef-led tours will take place in Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka, and will range from craft beer tastings paired with local dishes, to a visit to a sustainable oyster farm.
In Ketchikan, guests can join a Native Tlingit guide to observe local artisans and learn about tribal history at the only remaining village of the Chilkat people.
Natural highlights include visits to the Tongass National Forest, the largest temperate rainforest in the world or a visit to the untouched, wildlife-rich surroundings of Klawock, a town of less than 1,000 residents.
Each sailing will depart with a naturalist on board, as well as guest speaker talks that delve into Alaska’s incredible biodiversity. Guests will be able to utilise Oceania’s brand promise of ‘simply MORE™’, which includes a shore excursion credit of up to US$1,600, as well as other benefits.
About the ship
Riviera was renovated extensively in 2022. Its Concierge Level Veranda Staterooms and Veranda Staterooms are the largest standard staterooms at sea, at 27 square metres.

Its multiple dining venues result in a ratio of one chef for every 10 guests on board. Eateries include The Grand Dining Room, Polo Grill steakhouse, Red Ginger serving Pan-Asian cuisines, Toscana serving Italian dishes, French cuisine at Jacques, Terrace Café, and alfresco pizzeria Waves Grill.
