The public has had its say and boy do they have high standards when it comes to luxury properties around our country.
TripAdvisor has completed its annual hotel awards, seeking out the best of the best worldwide and in Australia.
Globally, India was found to have the top hotel, with the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, which has been described as “fit for a king”.
According to the travel website, Umaid has the largest private residencies and offers a memorable experience thanks for the professional staff and personalised service.
Cambodia’s Shinta Mani Resort came in second place, while the Bellevue Syrene in Italy made the top three with its “old warm charm and modern amenities”.
Other stand out properties in the global list were the Achtis Hotel in Greece, which offers “unhampered views”; and Brazil’s Hotel Ritta Hoppner, popular for its location and “old-time luxury”.
While New South Wales has the most luxurious hotels in Australia, Tasmania is home to THE most luxurious property.
