Private island resort VOMO Island, Fiji has appointed Sydney-based PEPR Agency to lead its public relations and communications strategy in Australia, New Zealand and the US.
VOMO Island, Fiji reopened on 1 April 2026 after a renovation and has now named luxury travel and tourism specialist PEPR Agency as its PR partner across the Australasian and US markets.
PEPR Agency will lead Australian communications, covering media relations and strategic storytelling and working with US PR specialist Michelle Gysberts and Imagination Marketing’s Lisa Strangis to coordinate across markets.
The cross-continent scope encompasses strategic PR, content creation, key opinion leader engagement and brand partnerships that will solidify VOMO’s reputation as a sought-after private island destination.

The 91ha, all-inclusive resort sits in the Mamanuca archipelago and was named one of the Top 20 Resorts in Australia and the South Pacific by Condé Nast Traveller‘s Reader’s Choice Awards 2025.
For Australian advisors, Fiji remains a key short-haul outbound market, and VOMO’s all-inclusive model, rare at this luxury tier in Fiji, is an easy package to position for couples, families and multigenerational groups, a segment that is having a moment in Fiji.
What has changed in the renovation

At the centre of the work is the transformation of the central Vuda Space, reimagined from a single venue into nine connected spaces that move guests through the resort, from the Arrival Lounge and Reflection Pond to the sands of Vuda beach. New cabanas and a Beach Lounge have been added to the pool and beachfront.
The two-bedroom villas have also been updated to offer more space and privacy for families and couples. Guests have access to VOMO Lailai, the resort’s private neighbouring island, plus snorkelling, diving, wellness, watersports and hiking trails.

The reimagined Vuda Bar & Restaurant is the centrepiece of the refresh, anchored by an open kitchen built to host visiting chef residencies, giving advisors a hook for clients who travel for food. Sydney’s NEL Restaurant, by Chef Nelly Robinson, launched VOMO’s culinary series in early May,

VOMO Island, Fiji General Manager Leon Pink said both the resort renovation and PR agency appointment were a considered evolution.
“VOMO Island has always evolved thoughtfully over time. This renovation felt like the natural next chapter, honouring what people already love, while ensuring the experience continues to feel special for years to come. Partnering with PEPR feels equally natural, for a team that truly understands luxury travel and shares our commitment to telling the VOMO story,” he said.

PEPR Agency Founder & Director Philip Engelberts said the resort stood apart in the region.
“VOMO is a remarkable brief. There is no other private island in the Pacific that combines this level of access and genuine all-inclusive luxury,” he said.
“VOMO’s welcoming approach very much aligns with our own agency values and culture, and together, we share a commitment to connecting VOMO with the world’s most discerning travellers. We’re very proud to be the agency trusted to help shape and share VOMO’s story.”

PEPR agency’s portfolio includes COMO Hotels and Resorts, Mandarin Oriental, Virgin Australia, Cunard, Explora Journeys, Aqua Expeditions and Outrigger Hospitality Group, recently adding Jumeirah Hotels representation across ANZ to its growing luxury client list.
