1. The Sci-FMercedes-Benz x Lufthansa sci-fi cabin

Mercedes-Benz x Lufthansa’s new jet cabin is designed for short and medium haul aircrafts and will be installed on private jets for the ultimate sleek travel experience.

Passengers will sit comfortably on refined furniture pieces upholstered in premium white leather and accented by dark brown hardwood.

Presented at the 2015 European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition, the cabin’s innovative ‘tube-like’ design gives it a futuristic sci-fi look.

We bet this is how Tom Cruise is travelling!

‘Mesmo’ is a new app that lets you connect with like-minded travellers before, during and after your trip.

The nifty app is an open platform that allows you to connect with other travellers based on your common interests and activities.

Simply set up a profile including a profile picture, introduce yourself in 140 characters and list your favorite hobbies, interests and activities and you’re off!

 

 

3. Google’s new ‘Ocean Street View’

Not a keen scuba-diver but love to explore the marine life at the bottom of the ocean?

With Google’s new ‘Ocean Street View’ you will be able to gain a glimpse of the life underwater without ever getting wet (or even leaving the house).

A joint collaboration between the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Catlin Seaview Surveyand and the Chagos Conservation Trust , the ‘Ocean Street View’ application provides 360-degree panoramic views of the ocean floor.

Together they’ve collected a number of aquatic images from the depths of the world’s oceans providing viewers with stunning visuals.

 

 

4. Hotel amenities by Paris-based perfume designer

There’s a new range of couture hotel toiletries hitting the shelves of unique interior design focused four and five star hotels.

The lavish collection is called ‘Moooi’ and includes scented soaps, shampoos, conditioners, shower gels and lotions.

Created by a Paris-based perfume designer, each scent is strong and powerful, infused with nutmeg, cardamom and bergamot.

 

 

5. ‘Spark Your City’ adds a dash of colour to London

A lot of travellers associate London with rain, smog and grey skies however thanks to a bright road installation from ‘Spark Your City’, London Bridge is one place in the UK that’s now a bit more colourful.

The concept behind ‘Spark Your City’ is to transform places in the city into “living playgrounds.”

The vibrant walkway across the Thames has put a smile on peoples faces and if the colourful tiles weren’t enough to lift the spirit, people crossing the bridge were also presented with roses.
