Hodor rises again to DJ in Australia for Rave of Thrones

'Hold the door' at the club (too soon?)! This is one evening gig Game of Thrones fans won't want to miss out on.

‘Hold the door’ at the club (too soon?)! This is one evening gig Game of Thrones fans won’t want to miss out on.

Fan favourite, Hodor, may have fulfilled his destiny on the fantasy series [spoiler alert: he had one purpose and we’re still burning about it], but he’s found another calling off-screen and in the form of DJing.

Kristian Nairn aka Hodor is bringing his house beats from the cave Beyond the Wall to the Land Down Under (again – yes, he’s partied here before) for a series of dance gatherings, fittingly (and creatively) named ‘Rave of Thrones‘.

According to his website, this October, venues in Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney will be transformed into “the finest halls of Westeros” where patrons will “be (enforced by the hand of the king) dressed to the occassion in a manner that would befit Queen Cersi herself”.

In other words, venues in Australia’s main cities will be decked out to look like the set of Game of Thrones and fans will be encouraged to dress up in theme.

“Unlike the Red Wedding, these soirees will be remembered for seasons to come for all the right reasons.”

Shiza Minnelli! Images of the Red Wedding just came flooding back.

Tour dates are: 14/10 – Metro City, Perth; 15/10 – Oh Hello, Brisbane; 20/10 – Fat Controller, Adelaide; 21/10 – Trak, Melbourne; and 22/10 – Enmore Theatre, Sydney.

Would you be keen to party with Hodor?
