The Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) will welcome 170-plus attendees to its inaugural International Women’s Day lunch on 8 March 2023 for a sold-out event that will seek to celebrate and champion females in the travel industry.
Held at L’Aqua in Cockle Bay, Sydney, guests will enjoy lunch and hear from a panel of industry speakers, including MC Julia Zaetta and moderator and CATO Vice-Chair Lisa Pagotto (Crooked Compass) at CATO’s IWD event.
Previously announced panellists Lou Tandy (APT Travel Group), Gai Tyrrell (Globus family of brands), Sue Badyari ( World Expeditions), Toni Ambler (The Travel Corporation) and Ingrid Berthelsen (Evolution Travel Collective) will impart their inspiring personal journeys as women in the travel sector.

CATO Managing Director Brett Jardine said: “We are very excited for our inaugural IWD event, which will be hosted by the flamboyant Julia Zaetta.”
“It promises to be thought-provoking and inspiring as we showcase some of the incredible talent that exists within the CATO membership group.”
Travel industry media executive Hoda Alzubaidi will be the keynote speaker for the event and will share her story of arriving as a young Iranian refugee in Australia.
The sold-out IWD lunch is the organisation’s first event of the year with a full calendar of networking and industry opportunities available.
