The Walshe Group has appointed Sydney-based Shubham Gulati as National Sales Manager, Division for IndiGo Airlines to drive continued growth and engagement for the Indian low-cost carrier in the Australian and New Zealand market.
The announcement follows recent news of The Walshe Group’s appointment as IndiGo’s general sales agent (GSA) for Australia and New Zealand.
An experienced leader, Gulati brings more than 17 years’ sale and business development experience across aviation, travel and hospitality sectors in India.
During his career, he has held key roles at Oman Air, OYO Homes & Hotels and EaseMyTrip.com as well as a previous 11.5-year stint with IndiGo based in New Delhi.

With a strong background in trade and corporate sales, key account management and travel management company (TMC) partnerships, Gulati has consistently driven revenue growth and market expansion.
His expertise in strategic marketing, client acquisition and relationship management has been instrumental in fostering long-term partnerships and enhancing brand positioning.
He has been recognised for his ability to develop high-performing teams and implement data-driven sales strategies that deliver results.

In his new role, he is committed to driving continued growth and enhancing customer engagement for the airline across Australia and New Zealand.
The LCC is India’s largest in terms of passengers and fleet size and operates flights between Australia, Singapore and India with codeshare partner Qantas.
