Yesterday, we revealed the airline that offers the best premium economy (Air New Zealand BTW) and today it’s time to share which airline is THE best in the world.
And the answer is… Qatar Airways.
Judged by some 18.9 million people from 110 countries in the latest Skytrax World Airline Awards, the airline took the top spot, beating out last year’s winner, Cathay Pacific.
Airlines are judged on a variety of factors including in-flight meals, comfort, aircraft, crew friendliness and more.
Qatar has been a favourite in the respected awards for some time, taking out the title in 2011 and 2012 and was runner up in 2013 and 2014.
Over the last year, the airline has made drastic changes to its business through new aircraft orders and inflight upgrades.

Australian carrier, Qantas, scraped into the top 10, voted 10th on the list, while Virgin Australia made the top 20, sitting at number 16.
Popular UAE carriers, Emirates and Etihad landed 5th and 6th places.
Despite Malaysia Airlines’ recent financial issues and recent air tragedies, the carrier managed to make the top 30, sitting at 24th.
