Entire Travel Group has announced the launch of its Floods Appeal to support communities across Queensland and New South Wales currently coping with devastation delivered by flash floods and heavy rains.
Entire Travel Group has launched a Floods Appeal to support those affected by the heartbreaking floods in Queensland and New South Wales.
The company has pledged to donate $20 for every website booking made throughout March 2022, with all funds to be directed to the Australian Red Cross, which is currently providing urgent humanitarian support.
“Even though our industry is still emerging from its own crisis, I believe it is vital that travel companies do whatever they can to help stricken communities recover from this disaster,” says Managing Director Brad McDonnell.
Entire Travel Group says its Flood Appeal reflects a long-term commitment to supporting initiatives that make a positive contribution to Australian communities.
The group has been particularly responsive to the various crises that have gripped Australia’s rural and regional communities.
Its fundraising efforts in response to the bushfires of Christmas and New Year 2019/2020 helped rural firefighting services and wildlife recovery, while its Bale a Booking Appeal in 2018 assisted farmers hit by severe drought.
Entire Travel Group isn’t the only travel company standing by those affected by the catastrophic flooding. Rex has also announced it will support emergency assistance efforts in the flood-ravaged areas of Queensland and NSW with its Rex Disaster Relief Fund.
“We are partners with the communities we serve and we will always stand by them in the good times – and the bad – and do whatever we can to help them and support the recovery efforts which will obviously take many, many months,” Rex Deputy Chairman, the Hon John Sharp AM, said.
