Over 100 National Travel Industry Award (NTIAs) attendees, including many category finalists and eventual winners, arrived for some serious pampering and celebration at Karryon’s pre-NTIA Glam Club on Saturday afternoon, held this year at the exclusive ‘Horizon’ on level 29 at Crown Towers Melbourne.
Returning for its second sensational year and doubling in size in the process, this year’s exclusive invite-only Glam Club event, hosted by Karryon in partnership with Air Canada, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) and Globus Family of Brands (GFOB), was the perfect prelude to the biggest NTIAs ever, held for the first time in 20 years in Melbourne.
After being welcomed at the hallowed doors of Crown Towers, the lucky VIPs were escorted into private elevators and whisked up 29 floors and into this year’s spectacular Glam Club, which featured huge floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing panoramic vistas of Melbourne’s skyline from the iconic skyscrapers along the Yarra River to the distant shores of Port Philip Bay.
Once amongst the lavish decor and beaming Spring sunshine views, they were royally pampered with exquisite hair and make-up touch-ups thanks to Karryon’s team of expert Melbourne stylists while connecting and reconnecting over bubbly and canapés in preparation for travel’s night of nights.

Air Canada Sales Account Manager Janis McDonald told Karryon, “I think we all get so busy daily that sometimes we forget to enjoy our successes.”
“The Glam Club is a great opportunity to thank our trade partners for their support and celebrate with the finalists at a VIP exclusive event,” said Ms McDonald.

Globus Family of Brands Head of Sales Australia Brett Simon told Karryon the event was a “fantastic way to start the NTIA celebrations, with some of our nearest and dearest in the magnificent Glam Club.
“Everyone at Globus family of brands would like to extend a massive thank you to the Karryon team for organising the event and an even bigger congratulations to all the nominees and winners; it was great to have some fun and frivolity with our friends from the trade,” he said.

Following on from a successful launch event last year, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) Director of Sales for Australia/New Zealand, Damian Borg, once again hailed this year’s event a triumph, saying, “NCL was once again extremely proud to support the 2023 Glam Club event at Crown Melbourne.”
“NTIA celebrates all the good things in our wonderful industry, and Glam Club is the ideal way to kick off the industry’s night of nights.”
“Bring on 2024!” he concluded.
