Link Travel Group signs up two new premium powerhouse agencies

Link Travel Group has secured two new agencies to join its exclusive buying group, which has been shaking up the industry since its launch in May. Eden Corporate Travel officially started its partnership with Link on September 1, while Travel Beyond Group will commence their membership in early 2023.

Launched less than four months ago as a joint venture between Flight Centre Travel Group, The Goldman Group and Spencer Group of Companies, Link Travel Group has grown from strength to strength, welcoming agencies including Reho Travel, Platinum Travel Group, Mary Rossi Travel and Mosman Travel.

The invitation-only member group says it is “connecting a carefully selected group of leading Australian travel agencies to provide an innovative and compelling offering via travel supply, technology, and business operations.”

Announcing its latest news, General Manager for Link Travel Group Scott Darlow said, “From the start, Link Travel Group identified both Eden Corporate Travel and Travel Beyond Group as exceptional travel businesses, owned and run by highly respected and skilled industry leaders.

“Their objectives align with Link Travel Group’s goals of delivering transparency and greater returns while driving travel industry leadership and success.

“We are delighted to welcome both agencies into the Link family and look forward to building a mutually beneficial partnership over the years to come,” said Darlow.

“Link offers an established, long-term vision that is clear and focused – plus access to technology that makes for a very exciting future.”

Tim Lane, CEO of Travel Beyond Group, which will formally begin its partnership in 2023, said, “Accessing the right content and distribution channels has never been so important. Link Travel Group provides a platform for us to elevate our offering to our customers while allowing our operations to streamline processes and workflows.

In addition to bringing his agency on board, Travel Beyond CEO Tim Lane will join Link Travel Group’s Advisory Board. Lane has been selected due to his skills and expertise in various travel specialisations, including sporting, events, entertainment and corporate travel, complementing the existing Advisory Board members’ expertise.

Link’s General Manager, Scott Darlow, said: “Tim has a unique business, and his knowledge, experience and insight into specialist corporate areas of travel will undoubtedly be an asset to our Advisory Board and growing membership.

“I look forward to Tim joining this highly respected panel of travel industry experts and collaborating with him to shape the strategic direction of Link Travel Group.”
