Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has elevated Damian Borg to Senior Director of Sales Strategy and Operations for Asia Pacific, effective immediately.
NCL says the promotion reflects its strong growth in the region and positions the cruise line for further success, with Asia serving as both a key source market and a popular destination.
In his expanded role, Damian will focus on the fly/cruise market for destinations like Europe, Alaska and Hawaii, while also leading four country managers across Asia supporting NCL APAC Vice President and Managing Director Ben Angell.
The appointment follows Angela Middleton’s promotion to Director of Field Sales for Australia and New Zealand, as both leaders drive growth and strengthen trade relationships in their respective regions.
According to NCL, the cruise line’s commitment to its trade partners remains central, aligning with its “Partners First” philosophy.
“Damian has already been a critical part of our success, and his appointment comes at an exciting time for NCL as we continue to capitalise on the strong cruise demand across the region,” Angell said.
“With both Damian and Angela stepping into expanded roles I am confident we have the right people to further support both our country managers, valued trade partners and customers across Asia Pacific, ensuring we deliver unforgettable cruise holidays around the world.”
Borg said he is “thrilled” to take on the expanded role to help drive continued growth in Asia.
“From our world-class entertainment to our diverse itineraries across Europe and beyond, we’re offering guests, more to see, more to do, more to enjoy, and more value than ever before,” he remarked.
“I look forward to working closely with Ben, Ange, our talented country managers, and our trade partners to showcase everything NCL has to offer.”
