Brand USA Director for Australia & New Zealand Clinton White has announced he is stepping down from the role to concentrate on consulting opportunities after leading the promotion of travel to the US for more than two years.

Since 2021, Mr White has steered the account, represented by tourism marketing agency Gate 7 in the Australian and New Zealand market.

The position focuses on promoting the United States as a premier travel destination and plays a pivotal role in shaping international travellers’ experiences.

During his time in the top tourism role, Mr White navigated the organisation through the pandemic and the travel rebound and shaped the local team and program.

Gate 7 Managing Director Jo Palmer recognised Mr White’s work to rebuild the team during his tenure.

“The incoming Director will inherit a legacy of success, building upon the achievements of the current Director, Clinton White,” she said.

Mr White will remain on the account until the end of July 2024 to assist with recruitment and onboarding for the director role before moving back into the consulting space, including ongoing projects with Gate 7 and Brand USA.

Brand USA recently appointed Fred Dixon as its new President & CEO while Gate 7 has added Lexie Miliatis as Brand USA’s new Training & Events Manager in ANZ.
