The spirit of giving consumed P&O Cruises late last year, so-much-so that the cruise line made an incredibly sweet donation of presents to children across the Pacific Islands.

If that didn’t make you go ‘awww’, then… what will?

As an annual tradition, P&O Cruises uses funds gathered from guests through P&O Pacific Partnership to buy and deliver hundreds of gifts to five island destinations – Port Vila, Mystery Island, Luganville, Lifou and Isle of Pines.

Presents were carried aboard Pacific Explorer, Pacific Dawn, Pacific Eden and Pacific Aria, and handed to children by the big man in red, Santa Clause.

P&O Cruises President, Sture Myrmell, said the magic of delivering presents of every year is an indication of how much the Pacific Islanders mean to the cruise line and their guests.

“It also points to the very close and wider connection we and our guests have to island communities through the contribution of the P&O Pacific Partnership.”

P&O Pacific Partnership raised some AU$1 million from guests since its inception, which is used towards supporting a variety of community programs.
