Flight Centre Travel Group’s new B2B travel brand, The Travel Junction (TTJ), has unveiled customer enhancements as it prepares for a post-COVID rebound.
The Travel Junction, which Flight Centre Travel Group says was one of the first in the group globally to return to profitability during the COVID period, has moved to strengthen its offerings by deploying new technology in the form of the Helio system, expanding its sales force to provide dedicated support to advisors in Australia and delivering greater flexibility in its product ranges to meet travellers’ changing post-COVID needs.
“Our focus at The Travel Junction is to have our agents’ backs,” TTJ general manager James Whiting said.
“We aim to do this by providing the best experience possible for our travel agent partners, being flexible when needed, delivering innovative new products and providing support to them so they can do the best job possible managing their clients’ travel needs.
“In relation to flexibility, we want to lead the way as vaccination programs gain momentum and as the travel sector rebounds by offering superior options in relation to travel credits, changes and cancellations to support agents that choose TTJ as their preferred travel supplier.
“We refund deposits and don’t charge amendment or cancellation fees – if suppliers don’t charge us – and any COVID credits will be held until the agents and their customers are ready to use them.
James Whiting said the new booking platform, Helio, has been introduced with travel advisors in mind; making their lives easier with dynamic packaging capabilities, simple search-to-book functions and faster service abilities.
“This will allow agents to book all land travel in one package with dynamic pricing, which will, in turn, allow them to invest more time in serving clients and increasing sales.
He said TTJ is also excited to introduce a new sales team with a dedicated account manager and a head of sales, to ensure support is available when needed.
“Working alongside their existing agent support team, this expansion further cements The Travel Junction’s position as a trade-aligned travel and distribution partner for agents,” Whiting concluded.
