Perth Airport will be home to Australia’s ‘most luxurious and advanced’ terminal once the upgrades to Virgin Australia’s T1 Domestic Terminal are complete.
Opening on 22 November, Virgin Australia will move all its Perth Airport operations to the renovated terminal – leaving T3 entirely to Qantas.
Millions have been invested in the redevelopment of the site to create what Perth Airport CEO, Brad Geatches, described as a ‘world-class facility and the most significant project in the gateway’s history’.

Inside Virgin’s new T1 Domestic Terminal there will be 28 domestic check-in kiosks and bag positions, 12 services departure gates, a central retail and dining area as well as a state-of-the-art lounge featuring the airline’s new Espresso and Wine Bar.
It’s expected to have the same space and modern touches as the recently opened Domestic Terminal in Brisbane Airport.
It will also build upon the airline’s increased services and business class options for Western Australia and help increase its share of the business market.

Meanwhile, the Australian Tourism Export Council said the new T1 in Perth Airport will help the city compete as an international destination.
