Royal Caribbean has revealed new details about its newest ship, Star of the Seas, which sets sail in August 2025.
The ship will be “packed with iconic thrills” and have more than 40 dining and drinking options, including new restaurant Lincoln Park Supper Club – a 1930s Chicago-inspired spin on the supper club experience that pairs multiple courses with live entertainment.
Royal Caribbean International President, Michael Bayley says, “Star of the Seas is the second bold act of this exciting, new era of vacations first introduced with Icon of the Seas, and it’s putting the world’s best vacation on the map at yet another top travel destination”.
There are six adrenaline-pumping waterslides at Category 6 Waterpark, the first waterpark at sea, while Crown’s Edge is part skywalk and thrill ride 47 metres above the ocean. There’s also a FlowRider surf simulator, mini golf, live bands and DJs.
Chill Island includes four of seven pools, live bands, DJs and a swim-up bar, while Surfside is designed for young families with a ‘baby bay’ and spots to eat.
For something more tranquil, head to AquaDome, a quiet oasis by day and hot spot at night with wraparound ocean views and shows such as high divers, aerialists and robots.
To completely escape the kids, head to The Hideaway, an adult-only spot with beach club vibes and a suspended infinity pool.
Inside, the Royal Promenade has floor-to-ceiling ocean views, the world’s largest kinetic art sculpture and an open-air Central Park lined with more than 30,500 real plants.
Suites include the three-level family home away from home (pictured above) with an in-suite slide, a cinema space, karaoke, two balconies and a private entrance to the ‘ultimate family neighbourhood’.
Star of the Seas will head to the Caribbean and Bahamas.
