Australia’s two biggest airlines have been very busy this week opening up new terminals and announcing introducing new ambassadors.

Qantas kicked off the good(looking) news when the carrier announced Wolverine aka Hugh Jackman was retracting his claws to be the airline’s new Global Ambassador.

Does this mean we’ll get to see his handsome face on Qantas ads now?

As part of his role, the two will team up on various campaign as well as community building projects. Handsome and caring *faints*.

Richard Branson

On the other side of Aussie aviation, Virgin Australia hosted its founder and one of the world’s more famous entrepreneurs Sir Richard Branson.

On his whirlwind tour of Australia Branson spoke about his hope to fly Aussies to London within three hours and promoted ‘RUOK?’ Day.

Tour operators Contiki and Trafalgar released their 2016 European itineraries this week featuring new destinations around the popular continent.

For the first time ever, Contiki will takes its young guests Romania, Montenegro, Iceland and Bosnia – countries the tour operator told KarryOn are in strong demand among younger holidaymakers.

Next year, Trafalgar will also be heading to places such as Iceland but not in its usual format. The company this week reinvented the definition of a tour, saying what it offers is more of a ‘guided holiday‘.

Now I know it’s only the weekend, but the coming week is all Flight Centre will be thinking about because the agency group is taking Channel 7’s Sunrise and its team of 25 people ‘Around the World’ in just five days.

Kochie, Sam and the rest of the crew will air their show live from five different cities as part of a major campaign to promote the destinations and Flight Centre.

The trip will kick off in Dubai on Monday before heading to London, New York, Niagra Falls and then Cancun. #SoJealousRightNow
