Aman Maldives, located on a private island in the Vaavu Atoll, is set to become the latest addition to the Aman brand’s 35 hotels and resorts.
The arrival of Aman Maldives marks the 21st destination for the growing Aman brand.
“The introduction of Aman Maldives is a significant milestone for our brand as we bring Aman’s ethos of timeless elegance, unparallelled service and ultimate privacy to the destination for the first time,” said Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group.

“Responding to the request from Aman guests, for our presence in the Maldives, has long been part of our growth strategy and reinforces the brand’s dedication to providing unique and transformative experiences in the world’s most exceptional locations. Having secured a site in the most exclusive and secluded parts of the country, I’m delighted to bring Aman’s renowned lifestyle and ultra-luxury way of living to the destination,” he said.
Some 52 pavilions and 16 branded residences will make up Aman Maldives, designed by longtime Aman collaborator Kerry Hill Architects. Design and architecture cues will be inspired by the surrounding white coralline beaches and clear turquoise waters of the Vaavu Atoll, renowned as one of the most exclusive regions of the Maldives with exceptional diving sites.
Standalone pavilions, all with private pools, will range from one to three bedrooms, some located on the main resort island and others on its extensions.
In addition, the property will feature a variety of restaurant venues, a beach club, and several private dining locations.
Aman Maldives’ expansive spa facilities will span 2,638 square metres. Situated on its own island, the spa will bring new experiences in health and rejuvenation to the destination including two private Spa Houses, a signature of Aman.
The property will also feature a dive centre and watersport activities, for exploring the country’s most pristine reefs.
Meanwhile, 16 Aman Residences, ranging from five to 10 bedrooms, will provide spectacular sunrise experiences from their far eastern vantage point. Each residence will be set on its own islet with a private beach, and will include a 25-metre swimming pool and personal landing jetty.
Construction of Aman Maldives is now underway, with further details and a confirmed opening date to be announced in due course.
In March this year, Aman opened its first sister brand property Janu Tokyo; while upcoming openings include Aman Beverly Hills, Aman Niseko, Aman Dubai and Aman Nai Lert Bangkok.
Aman is also preparing for the launch of its luxury superyacht brand, Aman at Sea, with voyaging likely to commence in 2027.
