First look: The highly anticipated Regent Bali Canggu opens its doors

The ultra-luxurious Regent Bali Canggu has opened its doors, housing the world’s first Regent spa, exclusive Regent Club, nine pools and five dining venues.

The ultra-luxurious Regent Bali Canggu has opened its doors, housing the world’s first Regent spa, exclusive Regent Club, nine pools and five dining venues.

Regent Bali Canggu is the first Regent Hotels & Resorts to open in Indonesia since IHG’s acquisition of the brand in 2018.

The beachfront property has 150 suites and villas – sprawling spaces with hand-carved teak bathtubs, curated pillow menus and private balconies.

Interiors “celebrate Indonesia’s diversity through the integration of batik and Balinese imagery, all within a curated colour palette that reflects the ethereal beauty of the island”.

For the ultimate in luxury, put your clients in the ‘Two Bedroom Penthouse Oceanfront with Private Pool’, which has a full kitchen, private terrace and an infinity pool overlooking the Indian Ocean.

The Regent Spa & Wellness – the first Regent-branded spa in the world – will open later this year.

Seven restorative treatment rooms will offer everything from scrubs and massages to “vibrating crystal energy, healing aromas and restorative light frequencies”.

Time to dine

The five dining venues include signature restaurant, Taru, serving authentic Indonesian dishes; Sazón – a Spanish hideaway with authentic tapas, and Cure which is set to open later in 2025 and will focus on European dishes infused with Asian influences.

Chef Andrew Walsh says, “Sazón and Cure are very close to my heart and hospitality ambitions. Our Spanish neighbourhood tapas bar and grill, Sazón, draws inspiration from the lively streets of Barcelona, reimagined with the vibrant spirit and boundless energy of Canggu.

“Cure, opening later this year on the beachfront, will present my signature refined modern European cuisine infused with influences from my journey through Asia.”

Select suites, villas and penthouses with also have access to the full-service lounge, Regent Club.

Here, guests can dine on a carefully crafted a la carte breakfast, and come cocktail hour, relax in one of the cabanas beside the private infinity pool and sip complimentary champagne.
