Are You Flight Centre Family? You Can Now Reconnect With Your Tribe Forever

Flight Centre Travel Group has launched its own 'Flighties Forever' website to help existing and former staff stay connected and informed of new roles as the travel industry 'arrival revival' begins to take shape.

Flight Centre Travel Group has launched its own ‘Flighties Forever’ website to help existing and former staff stay connected and informed of new roles as the travel industry ‘arrival revival’ begins to take shape.

As the website says, ‘We are a family. Even when you left our business, you’re forever considered a “Flightie”. What does that mean? No-one can really pinpoint it, but all we know is that the feeling of pride never leaves. It’s forever part of your DNA, just like you are part of ours.’

And so it was that this forward-thinking and smart initiative was dreamt up and built in-house and is dedicated to ‘Flighties Forever’ (the people of Flight Centre Travel Group) and travel industry professionals with the aim of showcasing vacancies, professional development, knowledge and opportunities to stay connected.

With a long-term vision in mind, the FCTG hub says ‘Ultimately, we hope it connects you to a role so we can see you back where you belong.’

On the new site, you can share your story to keep the FCTG memories alive and extend the branches of their ever-growing Family Tree.

You can also sign up to receive:

  • Customised job alerts when you register and personalise your journey
  • Prioritised access in the job queue for any roles you apply for when you are suitable
  • Informative articles to further your professional development
  • Opportunities to share your feedback and story

There’s also a ‘Fightie Stories’ section from various FCTG staff and a ‘Flighties Forever’ film documenting the last few decades that features flighties past and present enjoying what indeed, were some very good times.

Like most travel companies, the last 12 months have been absolutely devastating for FCTG. This new initiative aims to plant the seeds for the future to rebuild a thriving sector once more.

Speaking about the new initiative on the site, Head of People & Culture, Flight Centre Travel Group Allisa O’Connell said:

“As we start to rebuild and look ahead to the future, we realised we didn’t want to lose our connection to the past. We want you to remain part of our family – our stories will live on for years to come and your memory is forever inscribed into our history books.
