Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas made her diva debut in Miami ahead of the highly anticipated inaugural cruise on 27 January 2023. RCI’s newest cruise ship is a first-of-its-kind family holiday at sea with a raft of game-changing features and amenities.
Locals, executives and employees watched as Icon of the Seas arrived in Port Miami from the Finland shipyard in style on 11 January with celebratory fireboat salutes, planes flying banners and a community celebration at Pérez Art Museum.
While in port, the ship will continue final preparations ahead of her naming celebration and first cruise.
What’s on deck
Icon offers seven-night Eastern or Western Caribbean itineraries from Miami, including RCI’s award-winning private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas.
The all-new Hideaway Beach adults-only escape on the private island also launches in January 2024 in time for the Icon itineraries.
The all-day experience features a private beach and pools, new dedicated spots for drinks and bites, exclusive cabanas, live music and more.
