Flight Centre Travel Group’s online wholesale portfolio, The Travel Junction has confirmed a new partnership with independent travel advisor network itravel in a move it says will increase global distribution reach.
The online wholesaler of global air, hotel, specialist accommodation and experiences, The Travel Junction, has announced a preferred agreement with itravel – one of the fastest-growing independent travel franchises and mobile travel agent networks in Australia.
This new agreement enables The Travel Junction to expand its retail distribution reach in the Pacific region via access to the 100+ itravel members in Australia and New Zealand.
Launched in 2019, Flight Centre Travel Group’s (FCTG) Travel Junction expanded its capabilities to service retail agents that now-retired Infinity Holidays traditionally worked with, along with new retail sector customers throughout the country.
itravel member agencies will gain full access to The Travel Junction’s extensive portfolio of 250,000+ Hotels globally, many of which are contracted on special terms and available to be instantly confirmed or dynamically packaged with Air, Transfers and Experiences on the HELiO online booking platform.

The Travel Junction general manager James Whiting said: “We are delighted to announce this new partnership. It’s the first time that The Travel Junction has become a preferred partner with itravel and the timing is perfect to take advantage of the opening of borders and huge pent-up demand of the network’s high-value clients.
Steve Labroski, MD at itravel, added: “We’re excited to partner with The Travel Junction to provide our members access to the business’s competitive and comprehensive offerings, plus the ability to book product stand-alone or packaged-up within the HELiO Itinerary Builder.
“As we gradually move out of current travel restrictions and clients commence the planning process with our members, having a breadth and depth of product choice with flexible booking terms, backed up with round-the-clock customer support will be essential. In due course, we hope to integrate The Travel Junction’s global product with our centralised booking platform, HQ.”
